It seems strange to me. 27 Years old, a rather terrible season with Munich, many injuries, no form etc yet he is meant to be worth over 50 million pounds????

I just don't see how he can warrant such a price tag. He has been linked to United again in the papers, a few weeks after Fergie slated him for getting Rafael sent off. So any one got theories why he is meant to be worth all this money???

As I said in another thread, he is French and he does a lot of stepovers ergo he is the new Zidane.

He must've had a good Euro's or WC or something, because the hype has come out the blue in the last year or two. I don't rate him that much either

I think he's a great player.

Majority people only see players like that in champions league and judge.

Well if a player is worth 50 Mill then it's understandable that everyone judges on Champions League performances because at the end of the day at that price he needs to preform at the top level.

Good league player but can't perform in the CL then?

So he's no better than Diego Forlan, Veron etc.

I didnt say he was worth £50m!

In CL the higher classed players are usually marked out the game to make them less effective.

Ribery included.


I thought he played well in the first leg v man u???

I think Ribery was dire over both legs, he may as well not have been on the pitch.

Ok so the reaction is a bit even. Still, no way for me is he worth 50 million. 25 Million seems a realistic value, surely ? Not like he is a 20/21 year old Messi type wonder talent, either.

I think 25 mill is still way overpriced. He's a good player but not great.

I can't remember if it was a WC or Euro's where he played well which got this hype going. I thought he was awful in both legs against United and poor in the other games.

he would have got a move to a biiger club than bayern by now if he was world class and thats with all respect to Bayern
