If you had the choice of a 4-2-1 manifold for an x16xe which manufacturer would you pick and why?

Janspeed

Sportex

Ashley

Hot-tuning

Or other?

The ones ive seen are all mild steel or atleast look it. The only stainless is the hot-tuning one but ive heard they dont leave much room due to their shape. Would you go stainless or mild?

i'd personally go for stainless just because it'll last longer and also looks better.

Although a mild steel one will last longer than your car (or at least the time you'll own it) i'd go for the stainless as long as it wasn't too expensive. Remember its just a corsa at the end of the day

Im guessing Janspeed do a stainless one as they describe it as "shiny" No price or proper description though. Mild steel gets a bit of surface rust though doesnt it?

Mild will last long enough to outlive your ownership probably, i doubt you'll see a difference in performance on any XE lump one from another

Mild steel would be fine - only takes a coating of VHT Paint or similar to give it more protection if you were worried

I've just bought a MS Sportex 4-1 Manifold - impressed with it so far

not ashley or janspeed, had both and thought crap.

oh and bit of advice....get a lambda sensor boss welded into the collector and use the plug it should come with the block it on number 3...will run like shite.

heres what im thinking of running on my c16xe once got all the parts:

http://billfalconer.webs.com/exhaustmanifoldetc.htm

but it is a proper jobby and would need flnage welding on.

all the tony law exhausts are mild steel and there shit hot. just because its shiny doesnt mean its any better lol

i have a janspeed 4-2-1 and i noticed the diffrence makes 4th gear better pulls very hard , and as for mild steel or stainless steel i would personaly go with the mild steel one as its a softer material , stainless steel is hard and it does not like to be heated up then cooled down as it can crack
