Evenin all, changed the engine loom on my x16xe today as it had been fire damaged prior to me getting the car.
Used the engine loom from my x16xe gsi, along with ecu transponder & chip as the ecu plugs were different.
Coolant temp sensor had a different plug so i swapped the cts from my othet engine.
Took it a quick blast an its limiting at 5.5, EML is on but my diagnostic device doesnt seem to work on my car (Before & After changing the engine loom)
While i done this i swapped the top inlet from my gsi as it was cleaner and replaced the intake pipe that goes to the throttle body as it was damaged as well.
I had a few vacuum pipes off but i'm sure i got them back on in the right order.
Any suggestions, already checked everything is plugged in.

Is it down on power at all, or does it pull well to 5.5k? TPS could need calibrating.

Common problem, Crank/cam sensor?
And what is the problem with flashing codes? Mine flash 4 digits insted of the normal 2.

Pulls fine to 5.5.
I have a handheld code reader but it doesnt like my car, works on everyone elses.

Ahh right, flash the codes, i know its a pain etc but it might help.

There was a spare 3 pin plug behind the kick panel that i didnt have a plug for on the other loom, i assumed it was air con related as the sport has it and the gsi never
