I think someone on Retro-Rides was doing them.

I got mine done by Wide-Wheels (now bandedsteels.com). They aren't cheap.

I was looking at getting some done until I saw how much it costs, I shat my pants, twice!

Could buy two sets of Ronal Turbo's instead.

Thing is, Ronal Turbo's are off the shelf wheels. Banded steels are custom made to your exact requirements. Nothing that's custom made will ever be cheap.

I have to agree I do like some banded steelies (that corsa B van that had them with black and white chequers looked good) but now the Vag boys and girls have killed them (and R10's)

I think you mean everyone outside of the Vag world have over used them! That van was shit

But at the end of the day, how often do you see them on the road and not just pictures from the internet?

I've got a good set of steels, apparently there's someone that does them in Liverpool for about £200.

Pcd 108 (i think), what ever 4 stud fords are.
