If its an early one, they handle better, they have snap oversteer like supercars

Will be the 168 BHP engine in the mk2 I think. Strip it, update the breaks and some decent lightweight alloys and you're away. They only oversteer if you have no skills behind the wheel. I had a turbo rev3 and it handled superbly. If you drove like a knob in the wet it would put you into a wall. Simples.

I sold my Mk2 Mr2 to a guy who was using it purely for track. It took some abuse from me and the previous 50 owners so they're pretty tough. Breaks were bad though, calipers can seize up and handbrakes can be non existent if they also seize up.

Yeah I had my calipers seizing a few times. The rubber seal on the caliper pistons degrades.

MY only memory of my Dad's Rev2 MR2 Tubby was the fact the blacks were shit and seezed up on the regular!

I've literally just bought an MR2 today.
Its a Rev 3 GT-S.
Mine is also going to be used for track car. The bodywork is as rough as a rhino's arse. But the engine is great. Pulls solid all the way.
Interior wise, its fucking shit and I feel dirty driving it who cares when its all getting binned anyway.
Also, it has pretty much brand new tyres on.
I paid £2180. Can't grumble for that price

Have prices gone up for MR2's?
My bro sold his near mind example for 2k a few years ago! Went to a collector in Ireland!

MR2's have hovered around the same price for a few years now.
Depends which version it is. You won't find many Rev3 GT-S Turbo for under £2500.
