i am wanting a refund for them selling me the wrong corsa throttle cable and they are arguing that i am wrong. I know what type of cable i need. They wont listen. 8v is different to a 16v but they say it isnt.

lol, Im lucky enough, they are full of knowledge near me. Couldnt source me new rear Nova springs the other day though

can you get 2 part numbers for the different cables from Vauxhall then use this as evidence that there is 2? Bit of hassle though, whats the price on a throttle cable nowadays?

Surely if they sold you something that's not fit for its intended purpose then you are entitled to your cash back, or at least an exchange. I could be wrong though...

Nic can you get a reg from a vehicle with the cable you need?

Half the time ringing up and asking for a part with no details is the problem

Or like already mentioned, get the vaux part number and they should be able to search by o.e number

yeah i use my reg as its just a corsa cable. I am going to go investigate a different motor factors on my travels this afternoon. I can use a cable from calibra astra cavalier or corsa.

ahh ok, didnt know if it differed being a Let, that should be straight forward then, sure its not bagged wrong? sounds a bit dodgy them not refunding it, almost like they know its wrong and wanna get shot

well they are going to have to refund it as they used my reg plate to order it. Will just have to take it back again this afternoon when i am back in carlisle.

according to the cable book i just looked at, 1.4 16v cable is different part number to 1.6 16v and the 1.6 is about 60cm longer. Whats the deal with that? No books list for 20xe any more which is just great.

Cant see that, 1.4 and 1.6 cables should be the same.... Of course others ARE shorter due to the TB being in the middle of the car, not hidden down the back corner.

yeah i know. I have had both 16v corsa engines and done conversions in both using the standard cable. This book says the cables arent the ends i know they are.

i ordered a cambelt for my let the otherday form our motorspares, sent the fvcker back and asked for one that was new , one they sent looked about 10 years old. cheeky fvckers.
