This week I've had my wheels refurbed by Lepsons in Swindon. Overall they've done a good job, just like on my Softstar that they did.
There have been two problems however:
1. When rolling them off the van and into the building (after being done) one fell over and scratched the face. They're re-doing this for free so it's not really a problem, although it has messed up my weekend plans.
2. On one of the wheels that I do have, there is a scratch in the paint near the centre and also some scratches under the paint (that haven't come out very well in the pic). Now my question is this: Should I a) see if they'll re-do the scratched wheel, or b) see if it'll clean up and try not to look at the scratches under the paint?
One slight spanner in the works is that the wheels HAVE to be on the car next Saturday. They have managed to pick these up Tuesday and dropped them off today which is pretty fast for a full set, but I really can't do with only having 3 this time next week.

If they've scratched then they should either be reimbursing you the money or fixing it

If you can live with it, get them to refund some money, if you want them perfect, kick up a fuss imo. Very very surprised at Lepsons doing this!

So am I Rich, it must have happened in the van on the way over or something.
The thing is, they're too far for me to drop it off and pick it up so I have to rely on them picking it up from a local garage that they do a lot of work for and then dropping it off again. They did say they usually go twice a week but I really can't afford not to have it back before next weekend. If it didn't matter about the weekend then I would be on the phone straight away
It's a bit late to call now as well, will have to wait until tomorrow.

Ring up, kick up a fuss and say it NEEDS to be back on your car next weekend, should do the trick

I bet they'd deliver it in a van full of cotton wool then
I did tell him when I was arranging it originally that I need them done for the 22nd.
Don't know whether to put a pair on the front tomorrow anyway because I need to get my camber bolts on really. Would look pretty weird with half and half wheels though

Just gave them a call and before I could even ask he said they'd take it back and do it again and it will be back by Friday.
Good stuff

Indeed
Got the two good ones covered in two coats of sealant, they're looking rather tasty now
I didn't really catch them at the right angle to get the best out of the flake but there will be more pics when all 4 are back anyway
