hey all
can anyone answer me this please...on my d40 i need to know if i can get the multi shot feature to snap quicker frames?
i went down the local skate park earlier and got a pic of a kid grinding a rail.when i done the mult shot it had him always ending at the end of the rail and at the beginning but never in the middle.i got this shot in the end but if i get get faster shots it would help loads

As far as I know it's only possible to get it to do 3fps so ask him to go slower
Getting timing right can be a nightmare for shots like this

Thought it depended on the shutter speed?
1/3 sec shutter speed will obviously only be able to take 3 pics in 1 second. 1/100 will be more, etc...

It doesn't work like that, the camera can only take so many fps as a maximum, it's probably around 3 or 4 depending on the card speed then after it's taken the first few it'll slow down further.

yeah its doing more like 1 frame every 2 seconds at the minute with burst mode on.any help?

Apparently it's 2.5 fps for continuous shooting mode. Don't think you'll be able to change that.

2.5fps isn't as slow as it sounds, especially for this type of shot.

Check your battery is charged
Use a high quality card
Get a grip with second battery

They're quite slow, I find mine fast enough for action as it takes the shot as soon as you press the button. Another trick is to make sure you're properly focused for the shot and have AF turned off.
