International data is so expensive. The one thing I don't get are the people who go abroad, spend their whole holiday on Youtube and come home to a £2k bill. It's not like they don't tell you how costly it is!

Nah its facebook bummers! the networks are laughing, mobile internet has gone up four fold with the introduction of social networking and the likes of facebook, how often do you see peoples status "sat by the pool blah blah blah"

Facebook alone accounts for 50% of mobile internet if not more.

It is scandalous though. I'm off to ibiza in a couple of weeks and need access to my emails (run my own business).

Silly question but if you use wifi is there a charge from the network at all?

Not from the network no (make sure 3G etc is switched off). You might have to pay for the wireless though, depends on the Hotel/Hotspot.

If you need it then you can buy an international roaming package from your network. Most bars and things will have free wifi if you buy a drink though
