Remove the sill plastics at the side of the seat to do this lift the flap and there shud be two t25 screws then there is one behind the seat on the same piece of plastic and one in front. Once you have done this take the plastic out of the way and move the seat forward. Place the clip in the pretensioner. Then there are two t40 torx screws one at the end of either rail behind the seat, undo both of these. Then move the seat back lift it at the back and push forward this should now be off all the mount and you can remove it from the car. Fit the new pretension remembering to put the clip in and then putting the seat back is the opposite of removal. However make sure you remember to take the clip back out of the pretensioner once youve finished

It's a red fork of plastic, and I'd truly advise fitting it before removal, otherwise it may go off and trust me it goes with a bang, left me with a ringing in my ear for hours.

The only red fork like clip i can see is at the rear of both the drivers and passengers seat attached to what i assume is the pretensioner. My question is when the pretensioner is fitted and working correctly should the red clip be fitted? As mine are? Or should they be removed as mentioned in this thread?

The red fork should be removed once it is back in situ.
