Me and the mrs are after a late deal and Turkey appears pretty cheap. I know next to nothing about Turkey, so has anyone been before, know of a decent resort to stay in, decent hotel etc. We're after somewhere with a few bars and that, so not too quiet....

i looked at turkey last year and every single place that come up on teletextholidays.co.uk got a shit review.

saying that, my mate (female) has been to turkey a few times and loves it, and the missus' parents went to turkey a couple months ago and also loved it.

good and bad everywhere i think.

Ive been to Marmaris 6 times, was getting a bit too rowdy the last time I went in 2006, I like rowdy but not with the mrs, went to Fethiye in 2007 and it was like paradise, fucking gorgeous, but expensive. been to Trunch, very unspoilt but again expensive

Going to Ichmeller this year, its the next bay to Marmaris, been there on a few day trips, remember it being lovely

I've been to Bodrum and Bitez? I thought Turkey was a shithole to be honest. Seemed dirty and very sleezy, although it was a few years ago.

Went tp Marmaris about 5 years ago on a last minute thing. It was alot better than I expected. We got a 4* All Inclusive deal. Alot of cockroaches about though...not in our hotel but in the bars etc.

In one bar the wall was absolutley crawling.

You get the usual geezers trying to sell you watches/clean your shoes etc but you just need to be careful.

Its the number 1 holiday destination this year due to everyone getting fucked off with the euro being so expensive.

I go to Altinkum in 3 weeks, its a brand new resort as part of Club La Costa, 4 or 5* Hot tub on balcony etc.

http://apollonium.clublacosta.com/apollonium_the_resort.php

Accomidation Free(time share) flights £70 each, just need spending money.

I had one of my best holidays in Turkey. Was in between Bodrum and Gumbet, Bodrum is a bit quieter. Gumbet was awesome.

x2.

I've done all the lads holiday destinations etc. and Turkey was the best place of the lot. People couldn't have been friendlier, nightlife was good, food was decent and we all got a shot of the rep
