I cannot lock the boot on my corsa, havent been able to since i bought it. the key just wont turn in the lock. Any ideas on why this could be? or what in particular to look for, cant be arsed to get another lock and hae to have 2 keys!

Have a look at the back of the lock itself, as in behind the boot trim - if you can get it off. Mine was playing up the other day when i took the boot lock off and it was because the lock mechanism wasnt lined up.

ok kl, i will try taking it off and re alligning it. its been like it for the month i have had it, just trying to get the car back to how it should be! slowly getting there!

Have you thought it might have been changed before? Meaning it would need 2 keys, but obviously you only have one...

yeah i was thinking that, but i'm never going to know until i get that lock off n try what Haimsey suggested. if not its going to be two seperate locks, which will be a cunt. When i got the car i didnt get a spare or anything, just 1 key 2 Immobiliser fobs

has the car got central locking?

you can modify the lock so it unlocks with the rest of the cental locking, that what i did anyway

yeah see that is what i was thinking, it does have central locking off of the key ( not a thob thing ) but surely the boot should lock itself when i lock the car. thats what most of them would do anyway?! How does the central locking on the boot work? then i might be able to work it out when i get home
