Do bikes have a high and low head beams?
Had 2 behind me last night with what appeared to be high beam, they were lighting signs up a few hundred yards away ffs!

Yes.
Maybe so, but you saw them, I ride with high beam when filtering. More easily seen.
But also my friend picked up a brand new bike and the high/low beam doesn't seem to be any different.

Low beam was effectivly a side light bulb on my old honda, high beam was what i would describe as a propper headlight bulb

Yeah low and high beam but as said even low beam is enough to blind most drivers, and it every time you go over a bump it looks like the bikes flashing you....

surely if a bike can be seen with high beam then it would be seen with dipped IMO.
Riding around with high beam dazzles other drivers and cause danger IMO

I thought it was side light, main beam and full bean.
i usually have main beam on for riding unless on A roads late at night.
mind you the head light on my ducati is crap... need to get one of those expensive bulbs...

Tony, it is on a car, but on a bike its just low and high beam.
My Bandit comes on straight away, you cna't turn it off. I like it like this.
My Tornado, I always put the lights on, after i've started it though or i get an electrical drain Part of the character
tbh, all riders should be riding with headlights on at all times.
tony you badger, why haven't we been out yet? You should come out on a wednesday evening (or the weekend)
