May well have been said before, but I will say it again anyway.
The best way to return your arches to their former black glory is to use a heat gun. You know the kind used for paint stripping, get them from B&Q fairly cheap or borrow one off the family for less  .
Basically the way to do it is this.
Clean your arches and car up
Get the heat gun nice and warm
Run the heat gun back and forth over a section of your arch, each section of about 6 inches, you will see it turning black right in front of you
When that section has been done do the bit above/below it, then move over more.
When the whole arch has been done spray some back to black onto it, leaves a nice shine to it.
Do this for every arch. Things to watch out for are the rear clusters as they are plastic and may well melt, dont get too close and touch the arch with the gun or anything because the arch actually melts slightly to return the black colour. Dont worry too much about your paint, you aint gonna melt it off, the arch will return to its black colour before it gets too hot for the paint.
Try no to leave the gun on one spot for too long, keep moving it around. The first arch I did was a bit poor but the last one was perfect. So I went back and touched the others up. Looks so much better with black instead of grey arches, and a cheap face lift for the poor car whilst it waits for colour coding.

Well mine were faded when i got the car, just got worse recently.
Colour coding isn't always a straight away option, so returning them to black is a much cheaper alternative.
I am colour coding in the future but as of yet I would prefer to have black arches than a manky grey.

They aint cheap I dont think.

Yeah i gathered that it wasnt gonna be hot enough and i couldnt be arsed doing it. I think i will just stick to back to black in a can!
