My samsung notebook is playing up again.
When starting up i get to the log in screen, type my password, press login. Then my desktop background loads but then nothing else?!??!?!?!?!
I can login to the guest account fine. In my account i can CTRL + ALT + DEL and get up task manager and start new tasks i.e. chrome, so i can get on here now.
But i have no icons, no task bar. Pressing windows key doesnt bring up start menu. I cant use Win + R or Win + d etc.
I have gone into start new task and typed "explorer.exe" but it makes no difference.
It did this before, but then it just started working fine.
Ive installed nothing, or done any updates or anything. It just started doing it today.
Explorer.exe is running (at 10, 767k) when i look in task manager.

Does it load in safe mode? If so do a system restore for the last month.

FFS Its working again now. I logged on then off about 10 times, each time it did the same thing. Then i restarted about 5 times each time doing the same thing. The the final time, it just logged in and loaded task bar, desktop icons right away like anyother computer would.

Whatever was causing it has managed to either complete or cancel when you booted to safe mode then it's not crashed when you restarted.
