I don't know what this part is called, but the joint thing between the steering wheel and the rack has play in it. The car goes over to the left when the wheel is straight. The tyre pressures are fine and the tracking has been done twice, there is no excess play anywhere else.
Does anyone know how much I'm looking at to get this bit replaced?
Here are a couple of bad pictures of the thing I'm trying to describe.

Are you sure it's not the track rod ends or steering arms?

We had it up on a ramp earlier at the local tyre place, the lads there really know what they're on about so checked all that. We were sat there for a while twiddling the steering wheel and it was narrowed down to the top pin on that joint thing, not quite in the pictures. It's an incredibly hard place to get to with a camera

There is 2 bolts on that UJ that you should make sure are tight. A 13mm nut and a a 12 (I think) torx bolt. Check them first.

i had same sort of problem with mine, had lots of up and down movement in the sttering wheel tho, turned out to be a plastic spacer sort of thing that fits in the column behind the steering coweling, this kept coming out so superglued it back in
