My mates corsa 1.2 8v has oil over most of the engine. Its obviously leaking from somewhere so going to give it a clean and see where its coming from. Any common places to check?

Obvious one is a loose oil filler cap or missing!!! and check see if dip stick still there!!!

Mines same car and after replacing oil filter and replacing copper washer on sump plug and replacing sump gasket. Its coming from gearbox  so check that.

check rocker cover gasket too, normally front corner near timing end
