Author help with mum's laptop

Mum formatted her laptop, all was fine but it won't Windows update it won't attach files to emails or upload images to Photobucket or eBay or list an item on ebay as the ebay forms won't work anyone got any ideas?

Also Flash might solve some off these problems (www.adobe.com)

As for the windows update error, not quite sure. What happens when you try?

She's got the most up to date java that was the first thing I suggested, its still not working

have you tried re-installing Internet Explorer?

or try Firefox and see if they work

tried using chrome still didnt work also tried reinstalling/ updating ie but nope. Its confusing the hell out of me

What does it say when you try and update.

Google the exact error and see what other people have done.

try the laptop on a different router, or re-set the router.

if all else fails then re-install windows again
