ive recently bought another c20xe corsa b as a bit of a toy i also have a vectra to go to work in but i was gonna insure both and just alternate between the both of them... have a bit fun now and then lol.
but over the last couple weeks i have got the bugg for doing track days.... i dunno weather to track the corsa and make it super fast or just keep it for the road and but a 328 bmw old one lol for have fun on the track ive always fancied a rwd car as well.
i wouldnt wanna spend a load on the bmw cos it would get hammered on the track,
so basically what am thinking ad rather spend that cash on carbs or something for the corsa, but are they strong enough to take getting beasted on the track every weekend, and then maybe going to work 30mile round trip once or twice a week, cos the way it is i can use it for work.
any comments welcomed

the btcc engine isnt actually a 20xe its a 2.2 stroked down to a 2.0. Seen as you already have car might as well use it. Remember its not a competition just a bit of fun so will be grand enough. Be prepared for lots of slating as people on here dont like corsas or xes. Common internet approved reply will be buy a puma.

Your not driving to win, so a XE Corsa will be good cheap fun. Which is the name of the game
If you want something to handle well get a Elise.

And you would know otherwise? Your tracks are straight, not brake/turn etc.
A corsa is far from a great handling car.

did I say that? No.
Why start with a turd?
It is possible to make a corsa handle as well as a clio/106/205 when you waste money on it.
If you are just after some cheap fun - and the car is in a state to go on track - use it. BUT if you are going to change suspension, brakes etc - start with a better car.

A car not handling great, can be more fun. IMO a track day is just a bit of fun. Get a race licence and a race car.
