c20xe in corsa b sport
i have bought the later ribbed belt set up alternater pas pump with tensioner
but then have found that the chassic conversion mount is in the way for this set up what should i do....

find a way round it :S some how...
fit a single v belt set up
remove the pas all together

Fit a corsa c epas column and away you go.


I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

I personally prefer to drive without PAS.

If it is possible to fit a switch for PAS (ON in ciity, OFF out of city ) that would be ideal though

B setup would be better, C needs a different wheel and iirc one mounting is different.

There are ways around keeping the pas on a 2.0.

I've got PAS in the corsa with an XE and multi ribbed belt. Don't know what's so special about it though.

its just the set up i bought pump n alternater tensioner and dont wanna have to waste anymore money on my c20xe build

fit a eps set up from a 1.0 12v or 1.2 16v corsa b or speak to alan and see how his is done, or stop being tight and spend the extra cash needed or just give up

i pull fuse out my saxo pump a fair bit. dont notice much difference.

you`ve turned it off? I couldnt turn the wheel when the power steering was broke

Im assuming you have city mode off?

do homers, my whole xe conversion and the car itself was funded by doing homers, my first car was built up doing homers while being at college 3 and a half days a week so it can be done, no excuses

i have a pas mount but thats for the v belt set up mine is ribbed belt archie

ive research how it goes on the car the engine came out of and it has a flat engine mount un like mine still not fixed the problem tho
