i only drank water for about 2 years (no other drink whatsoever) and i can safely say i felt no noticeable difference compared to when i drink whatever i like.

Usual internet paranoya usually from the likes of people who think that facebook is full of paedos and theres a rapist round every corner.
Same thing banging around with diet drinks. The key ingredient i.e Aspartame which by the way is in EVERYTHING that was processed at some point. Is aprently meant ot make you die by embalming your insides. Cue the freak occurance of some poor lass who wasnt able to walk and science couldnt say why. Then she gave up her diet soda the lord rejoiced and she could walk again.
Its all fucking HORSESHITE.
The FDA approves these things not to make just money, but because its safe. If they where worried about it, then seeming as every single shop you can buy water from sells coke, i would take a conservative guess that at leasr half the populus drink or have drunk Cola. Diet or otherwise, the preditcted health catastrophe will be so huge that basicaly it will cull 30m people.
I did the websites supposed 60days with no Aspartame and you too can kick Chuck Norris' ass test, and yup not one fucking minute bit of difference. I reiterate. BOLLOCKS.

I remember my mum telling me about something she'd watched on tv about the sugar levels in a can of coke (6 teaspoons she told me) which I shrugged off as per, it tastes nice that's all I need to know. I then went on to tell a lad I worked with, whilst I was actually stood drinking a can of coke and everytime I raised the can upto my mouth after I'd told him, he was sat cringing and couldn't understand how I could still drink it 
After a while once he'd forgot I spotted him with a can of coke in his hand so I went over to 'remind' him, it went straight in the bin and he looked so disgusted with himself
