My 1.8 Astra is worse than my 1.8T Ibiza Cupra for fuel. Gets around 27mpg round town, the Ibiza was seeing 30 easily. And I had a DV and full exhaust system so wasn't shy in using my right foot.

Anticipated to dealer July 30th. delivery w/c 2nd August.
I would have waited until the new plate in september had it been my own car, but as its not I dont care.

A3's are stretching into December at the minute. Maybe different for an S3 as it is low volume and there maybe some pipeline stock coming through, but as I understand most dealers factory order allocations cannot satisfy current demand and the wait is more like 5-6 months.

But its not an A3, its an S3. Delivery time is 10-12 weeks. If its over this, i'll be going mental at them and will be demanding freebies.

S3 isn't a high volume sold car.

Correct, hence my comment about the S3.
To be fair, I have just checked and availability is showing as October, just depends on what your dealers build slot allocation looks like.

It'll be late now you watch

C**t though, just found out this morning only Donna is allowed to drive the SXi, so I have no car for the next 3 months. Not happy.

Why??? Company car?

Why not buy a shitter to keep you going?

It could be fun......challenge yourself to buy a car for say £200 and get it to last you until the S3 arrives, and then try an sell it for a profit. Like a Top Gear Challenge!

I had a 1.6 sxi. Changed it after a couple of weeks because of how ridiculous it was on petrol. My XE corsa was noticeably better!
