2K is the limit you should spend on one IMO

Plenty for under 2k

astra mk4 sri
but get the 1.8 and not the 2.2
2.2s are shit tbh, 1.8s are the way to go, its the same engine as in the corsa c sri 1.8 and the zafira 1.8

just get a 1.7 puma for 1-1.5k
will be alot more fun than the other choices and cheap to fix/maintain.

Astra 1.8 SRi or a 1.8 16v Coupe as you might find one with full leather.

Had a Mk3 Anni 16v,was slow.Too heavy. Can be made to look nice though.
You would get a decent Vec Gsi for less than 2k but they are thirsty.Bro replaced his WRX with a P1 Vec Gsi and the fuel bill wasnt any better.
I would sway towards the Mk4 Astra or Puma out of those options.

Astra out of those.
The Focus isn't all that for a 2.0. Was less on insurance than a 1.6 Zetec S Fiesta when my misses was looking at cars.
