Is the car being scrapped? if so just smash a hole in the tank and drain it out.

Or do that, although that took bloody ages for me and got messy
Even when we took the tank off and poured it into containers it took bloody ages

Knock a hole in the tank with a screwdriver and put something underneath to catch it in.

Obviously I'm sure the lad has some common sense, it's probably not metal though.

very much doubt it will blow up from a spark if you punch a hole in the bottom of the tank as all the fume will be in the void above the fuel

if u wanna syphon it out abit easier you can pop the bottom of the rear seats up, ply up the bit plastic cap, then under that is where the fuel pipes enter and come out of the tank via a cap held in with a metal ring, get a hammer and screwdriver and tap the ring round anti-clockwise and once the ring comes free the cap should pull up! then you got easy access to the fuel! you should also be able to buy a manual hand pump syphoner from your local halfords or car accessory shop bud

By far the easiest and most sensible option.
Hook an old battery up to the pump under the back seat, take off the pipe that puts the fuel into the engine and put it into a suitable container, jerry cans etc,and sit back and watch the fuel pump out.Done it plenty times.

That's what I'd do, and did end up doing in the end.
