But I put 2litres in at 89,000 miles

then after driving for 235 miles it showed low

so I then put 1 Litre in and after driving 321 miles it is still showing full

will i think you should drive about with a few litres of oil in the boot just in case mate

Are/Were you using the correct grade of Oil?

I wouldn't put it past you to be using super thin brown piss-water type oil you get from a Poundshop...

Saturday 3rd July - 2l of oil put in as it was showing low (89,900 miles)

Wednesday 7th July - Showing full on dipstick (89,964 miles)

Friday 9th July (today) After doing an 100 miles round trip my oil is now showing low (90,145 miles)

1L put in


Friday 16th July showing full

90,466 miles

Wednesday 21st July showing low (90,667 miles)

3/4 Litre put in


I am using 10w/40 oil

It won't fix itself you fucking pleb. You can update the oil consumption as much as you like, it's not going to alter the fact it needs fixing.
