Can someone reccommend me a good PHP & mysql database host please? thanks very much
Also if the domain name isn't all *******.wehostyoursitelololol.biz.uk would be nice. Need a semi-professional looking domain name without paying.

I'm really really skint. Like bank balance is overdrawn..it's a business idea and I want to make it on a free site and see if there's any potential before redirecting to a paid website. I know it doesn't cost much but I'm in debt and flint skint...so unless I know there's money, I'm not forking out

can't you borrow some money from your parents and agree to pay it back?
or wait until you have some savings

I owe my parents over £1500.. they have disagreed to lend me any more money under any circumstances..I just want to know if there's a market for it without having to spend

Save up and pay your parents back first.

you could do a business plan and see if your bank will lend you the money.
other than that, I'd get out of debt and pay my parents back.

Seriously, a domain is £9.99 for 2 years, and hosting not that much more.
For the sake of maybe £30 you can have a professional looking package, or you can do it for free on a crappy free domain.
Your choice.

Personally, I've used Dreamhost recently for a few small sites and it seems good enough!
http://www.dreamhost.com/hosting.html
Wordpress, mysql, php etc. It's more than enough for most sites and it's pretty easy to use and setup.
Use the promo code 10PERCENTDEAL to get 10% off the prices too!

Have you ever been in debt, or had to borrow money throughout the month just to be able to eat? I told you, I'm absolutely skint. That's why I asked for advice because any Rtard can google "free php host" but I at least want it to look semi-professional..
You can get domains for about £6 per year, hosting...for a competent size package you're probably looking at about £15 p/month. I'm in debt, I don't need to be adding to my bills, I need to try get rid of them.
I just wanna see if there's a market, if there is, I'll redirect users from my "free crappy site" to my new sleek one. But I'm not paying until I begin earning, I know it takes money to make money, but when you start with nothing you can't invest anything.
Sorry to come across as bitchy but you have to understand..
Anyway, thanks for the suggestion Paul_J, I'll check it out

Your not gonna look even remotely professional, without spending a bit of money.
Ive built mine for around £250. Before this, i wasted nearly £100 on a "cheap" option, and it was awful.

Fact is anything free will be shit. Guaranteed.
I've got myself php & mysql for £10 this year and my domain was a tenner too. If you can't scrape together £20 then perhaps stating a business isn't the best idea tbh.

Out of interest what is your online business idea? u2u me if you're worried about privacy.
I'm pretty clued up on the web start up scene and can probably tell you whether it's a saturated market you're looking to go into or some pointers on how to capture a percentage of your desired market.

IF It's good though.
People often go very secretive over ideas, just incase someone steals them, but then the idea could be flawed / so unoriginal and you just can't see it.
I've posted up some of my ideas before on Corsa sport and it's a good guage of how good / bad they are. Afterall corsasport is quite a diverse group, so you would expect some of your user group to be on it.
However, CS often prove to me it's crap or it's good but it has been done (and I just didn't realise)
Either way, time and money saved.
