hello guys what can be done to my little engine to make it a bit faster on acceleration not worryed about being able to do 140 just want fast acceleration and dont have the money to go red top so was thinking of playing with the 1.4 it has i think it needs more power down low cheers guys

Have you looked into changing the box for a lower ratio one, or even dropping the aspect ratio on the front tyres? Do both of those and lob a leightweight flywheel on it and it will help acceleration quite substantially.

Oh, plus shed rear seats, spare and any weight that isn't needed!

If its just fast acceleration you want then change the final drive ratio.

There is a 4.29 final drive for sale in the classifieds by warren g. Fit that and you will instantly have faster acceleration at the expense of top end speed

all the bottom end from the 1.6 will fit your engine but remember to fit the 1600 ecu as well as transponder and chip from the 1.6 key
