The audio on a DVD-Video is compressed yes, and also at a much lower bitrate, + only 96KHz.
DVD-Audio is a seperate thing, it's like a high quality CD and not related to the audio tracks on a movie dvd.

My T2 BD takes about 6 minutes because the damn thing looks for an internet connection first...waits to time out, then loads.
If I plug my player in - it's no slower than a DVD... so I think that's what makes some players take longer than others, discs with internet content.
