Just reading the below article and I started to wonder due to the norm at the world cup being 2 x holding midfielders whether we will see more of that in the prem next season? I know certain teams played that system (LFC for one) for some / alot of last season, with differing levels of success. I thought (hoped) we'd probably seen the last of it in the PL in favour of 1 DM, I know it's the norm for teams to play a lone striker in most cases now but I think playing with two DM and 1 striker is a bit shit for the game. Do you think your team will line up with 2 DM's next season?

Depends on the wide players I reckon. If you had over lapping wing backs it'd still be good to watch.

True, that's what benitez was trying to do last season, it's a very difficult thing to perfect by all accounts though!

It's not really an exception because, as said in the article, they have alonso and biscuit. Biscuit doing more grafting, but alonso is still a defensive midfielder when needed!

Yeah requires alot of energy for 90 mins. Ashley Cole is the best at this IMO.

Patrice Evra is better because he wears a Man United shirt.

Seriously though Evra is also very good at that. Him and Cole are easily the best left backs around.

Yeah Evra is good at it for sure. I just think nobody can touch Cole at the minute.

Hopefully, I like watching teams that play with 2 ball playing holding midfielders.

4231 is the way forward, the most crucial part of which being you have a striker capable of being the 1.

Case in point, diving cheating arrogant wanker aside, Didier Drogba.

you need 2 proper wingers
1 out n out striker
and 1 complete runner
