Got to post a little update
He's still got the car! He's spent fortunes on it now, Recently he fitted a double plate clutch and now he's de-cat the exhaust system, he's building custom silencers with by-pass valves, he's bought a 100mm throttle and he's made a LOVELY inlet.
And he's just bought this for £2.5k (ABSOLUTE STEAL!).. A BRAND NEW Roush built Supercharged 4.6 2V and gearbox.. Its never even been fired up!

Do engines only gain bhp when bolted into a car

You dont know the power until you've got the Exhaust and inlet built and the management setup..
Potentially up to a safe 500bhp with this block.

So £2.5k for an extra 80bhp?
I read that as 500bhp being the safe limit for the enigne... may have taken it wrong?

How did you work out its £2.5k for an extra 80bhp? The 4.6's are 260bhp in standard form and that super charger setup would cost ALOT more than £2.5k

The Roush lump is destined for another shell that he wants to build into a replica of the ZT Touring cars:

Right, I thought he was swapping the 420-440bhp engine for the Roush one since there was no mention of another car.
I think I prefer the standard styling over the touring car, it's just a bit much. If I was in the position of having one I'd stick the new engine in something else. Old old shape mustang with that engine would be cool as fuck.

There aren't many options.. The brakes on the front are twin pot sliders and the discs are mm's from the spokes on the wheels and mm's from the bottom arms.
