does anybody know if the rear pre 97 bumper has different mudflaps to post 97 rear ones? cheers

Don't get Lee H started on that one.

Miles different, he bought some of the later ones brand new from Vauxhall, chopped them to hell.

I have stuck some mint GSI ones to one side for him a few months back.
