Well my Astra is in for repair, and went to the garage today so i can get my MOT certificate out of the car so I can sort my road tax when i noticed the way my car was parked. Not only as the front splitter has been parked against a curb and then has been dug into the soiled/grass enbankment. I have already noticed one scratch on the splitter, can't see any more as its stuck in the soil. I made a comment to one of the staff about it, but would you be happy with this? Also where do i stand if there is any damage?

I probably wouldn't complain personally because it's something I would've done a million times before myself if it only had that clearance.

If you never park it like that (so are not going to scratch it further after taking it back) then I would complain. It's been damaged by their negligence to park it properly so they should fix it.
Before anyone says "Everyone does that sometimes" I can honestly say I never do because in my B the splitter (which was built into the bumper) was lower than the top of kerbs so I am used to parking properly and not waiting until I hit something to stop, as some people have the custom.

Hey, that's fair enough. You asked if I would be happy and I told you. If you got a problem with it then complain, doesn't matter what we think. I personally scrape the underside of my bumper quite frequently. If I got back to a garage and it was literally hanging off or something then I'd be pissed yeah.

Oh i will go and complain, but the point is where do i stand? They can always say that the damage was there before, because they will say its my word against theres.

Well if you go back and it's still parked like that and there's paint on the kerb then how can they argue?

If it's a reputable garage I'm sure they'll take you seriously Give it a shot, although in my opinion you should've done it when you had the chance initially.
