Sorry to post in here, but it's currently jacked up outside with no wheels on and looks like its about to rain

Anyway, WTF is this round rubber thing -

Same both sides. The strange thing is I built the top back up the same way I stripped it down

Don't tell me i'm going to have to strip the suspension

Wouldnt be the coilovers, probably a rubber ring to stop road crap getting into the top mounts and bearings. Exploded diagram should identify it. Not seen one myself though.

Probably sits on the top hat (or what ever the spring sits into) on the original setup but wasnt removed when coilovers were fitted hence in falling down around the coilovers.

Hit it with a hammer then set fire to it, that should fix it.

that looks like the upper rubber spring seat (dont know the exact name) for standard springs. theyre made redundant when you fit coilovers because the springs are alot narrower

It originally sits under the "Vauxhall spring pan/bearing" and as said, isnt needed with coilovers.

Side to side or up and down?

Side to side is common, wheel bearings.

Bit of both. I think it's wheel bearing tbh. I'll get it down the garage
