My brothers 2.2 has the same problem with the drivers seat not folding forward.
Also,in what way has the cat collapsing affected the HG??

it would start but wouldnt rev, due to fact exhaust gases couldnt escape its put pressure in engine, low down revs it leaks water onto the spark plugs causing a miss fire and low revs and the temp light and fan come on quite alot! it doesnt overheat as such yet but its being done tomorrow before it gets any worse.

Ive got the 2.0DTi SXi Mk4, only thing thats gone wrong with it chassis / body wise is one of the front springs has, and still is, broken. Not bad for 2 years of ownership and no service history when I bought it, its a Y plate on 89k
