Come on, I've watched enough of English Rubgy Union to know that sometimes they are a complete joke.
Cricket, some of the shots Pietersen plays are farcical. It looks like he can't be arsed.
There is plenty of occassions when people are shown up in sport. It doesnt boil down to passion.
And very rarely do players play badly for more than 2/3 games on the spin.
Yeah Nath but were talking about football mainly. Some of these guys earn 250K a fucking WEEK!! A WEEK man It dosn't boil down to passion but it boils down to effort.
Yeah but.....

You're thinking of Yaya Toure at Man City. I don't believe he is on 250k a week, even Man City aren't THAT stupid.

yeah footy is shit dont see the appeal
and yes i have no intrest and as a result have know knowledge of footy
but if i was getting paid as much as the england foot ballers i would have at least acted intrested in winning the thing they looked like they would rather lose so they can go and get drunk quicker

I love the argument from non football fans 'If I was earning a million quid a minute I would make sure I won, lazy fuckers'.
What you have to realise it they're also playing against players that earn a million quid a minute, the argument is a non-starter.

when did i say i would have made sure i won
im saying that they didnt look intrested and to me didnt look like they where putting their hearts into it.
it doesnt take a football genius to distinguish between a team that really looks like they want it and one that couldnt be bothered.
i never expected them to win nor would i be so nieve as to believe paying someone a lot of money is going to make them better at it, but i do believe if someone is paid a high wage and given the chance to represent their country at a sport they should act like there trying

Yeah, they were too busy wanting to get beat to go to the pub.
That's how they became millionaire's kicking a ball on some grass, because they didn't want to win.

do you honestly think they all played as well as there each individual abilities would let them?
and they became wealthy as this country rewards and holds people who can kick a ball well in ridiculous high esteem, yes they work hard to get where they are with long training and commitment.
however, the majority of them would be going through life working medial paid jobs if football wasnt so popular.

A collective of individuals is a team. Let's start there.
