if not connected to the body would it give a weak spark? missfire

also would a missing a air temp sensor make the engine over fuel?

because my redtop is missfiring and over fueling

coolant temp sensor in the thermostat, 2 pin plug. Get one from vaux for 10quid, could be causing overfuelling problems.

Yes, that comes from the gauge sender which is next to the cts, thats a single wire normally a spade connector.

Trust me, i'm a professional.

Hang on, you dont have an air temp sensor?

If an engine has a plug for a sensor, plug the sensor in, it will never run right unless its getting all the info it needs.

Still think its the cts though.

Take your CTS out.Get a cup of cold water and a cup of boiling hot water.
Start the car,put the sensor in the cold water,revs should climb high,take it out and put it in the hot water,revs should drop instantly.Thats if its working 100%.If it takes its time to drop,its fuked.
