Does anybody use this?
Just downloaded the app and had a little play with it. Think I'll go for a bike ride tomorrow as its supposed to track your route. You can link it to your account on the website and it shows the route on a map. Sounds cool, if it works.

Well just tested this with a quick bike ride and I'm very impressed. It's totally free too! It uses a GPS sensor in the phone and Google Maps to show where you went, how fast you went there, and how high you climbed. It breaks it all down into graphs, and you can save all your workouts to a calendar so you can analyse everything.
Well worth a go if you like running or cycling.

My runs would just look like this:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Bullring,+Birmingham&sll=52.484766,-1.891665&sspn=0.020411,0.038409&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Bullring&z=16
Does it do anything else other than tracking?

Climb, average speed, top speed, calories, and it has a personal trainer which can be programmed into a workput plan.

I might have to have a go at this. I'm not sure how well it'll work though as where I go cycling in the Lakes I rarely have phone signal?

Cool. Wasn't sure if the GPS on the iPhone was linked to the phones signal or not I'll have to give it a go!

It can still get a GPS fix without being assisted.

I've downloaded it so if I remember when I go out this week I'll give it a spin, see how it copes with the mountains.

Should get excellent gps signal out in the open, only problem would be getting the first fix if it can't use the internet to be assisted at the start.
