Just noticed on my FB someone has paid Marc Ellsworth to 'wax' their RS 500? I thought they were vinyl?
Left waxed, right not. Surely this will last all of a day?

Vinyl? You mean Matt?
On the Alfa Italia Independent Matt models they say to use a neutral ph shampoo and warm water thats it

It's a matt vinyl, I wouldn't be waxing it!

Im not going to dispute that it doesn't look better. Similar result to Back to Black.

I find it funny that the RS500 comes with a sheet of matt vinyl with small circles cut in to it so you can place them in stone chips.

Apart from it being more of a satin than a matt finish now.

Hmmm not sure on this one. I would try a regular detailer and then possibly red mist in an inconspicious area first too see what its like.

Not really seeing the point of this one, already put my opinion on the photos Mark put up. Why buy a dull colour and try and make it shiny? Should have just bought a car that's shiny in the first place

Wax is for protection IMHO.
Polishing = shiny and thus in this case there is nothing to polish.

Wonder if this waxing goes against the Ford Warranty on the Wrap?
Won't they only honour it if the strict cleaning instructions are followed?

If its proper automotive stuff (which I hope it is!) then its fine to wax, its just the normal stuff a sign writer uses needs to breathe so can't have anything used to protect it
