the orginal press release and in english below, only vale........
http://www.yamahamotogp.com/db_files/docs/VR_Manuscript.jpg
"It is very difficult to explain in just a few words what my relationship with Yamaha has been in these past seven years.”
"Many things have changed since that far-off time in 2004, but especially ‘she', my M1, has changed. At that time she was a poor middle-grid position MotoGP bike, derided by most of the riders and the MotoGP workers. Now, after having helped her to grow and improve, you can see her smiling in her garage, courted and admired, treated as the ‘top of the class'.”
"The list of the people that made this transformation possible is very long, but I would like to thank anyway Masao Furusawa, Masahiko Nakajima and ‘my' Hiroya Atsumi, as representatives of all the engineers that worked hard to change the face of our M1. Then Jeremy Burgess and all my guys in the garage, who took care of her with love on all the tracks of the world and also all the men and women that have worked in the Yamaha team during these years.”
"Now the moment has come to look for new challenges; my work here at Yamaha is finished. Unfortunately even the most beautiful love stories finish, but they leave a lot of wonderful memories, like when my M1 and I kissed for the first time on the grass at Welkom, when she looked straight in my eyes and told me ‘I love you!'"

according to tony moody it was instructed by VR to hand out the hand written press release, no changes, no typing up for the press etc, find this all quite cool only rossi could leave in this way

I agree. Not sure what Rossi would be like with out JB in a new team.
Can't wait for Cal to get a ride next year, we need an english man to cheer on. Are the rumours that Spies is going to the factory Yamaha team?

has it been announced yet about Cal Crutchlow/Ben Spies? What's happening at Honda; they've got 3 riders at the minute, whose going or are they running a 3 bike team next year?

I think next years season will be a good one.
Loads of team changes will be interesting - will rossi be able to ride the ducati? will stoner be able to ride the honda after changing his techniques for the ducati? will lorenzo continue to ride amazingly well and take advantage of other riders learning to ride their new bikes?

Melandri will be off to WSB with BMW, that leaves a space for Dovi to partner Marco Simoncelli in the Gresini squad on 'nearly' Factory Honda's. Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa at Repsol Honda. Fiat Yamaha will be Bens Pies and Jorge Lorenzo. Tech 3 Yamaha could be Cal Crutchlow and someone else. Edwards has had his time and is probably off to WSB next season.

Nope, no charisma either. His celebrations make him look like a big headed twat where as Rossi's are always funny. Rossi has no problems laughing at himself.

Worlds worst secret eveeerrr
tbh, whilst i think its a good move, i really think Vale will struggle on the ducati to match Lorenzo.
Lorenzo is trying too hard to be a Rossi with his celebrations, but at the moment, he is the best rider in motogp, and will be on the same bike.
Rossi has to learn how to ride a completly different style of bike. Whilst i'd love to see him win next year on a Ducati (championship), i don't think he'll be close enough. He can blame it on the bike then though
I feel sorry for Dovi, being pushed aside.
Excellent news for Spies though. He's a rider who needs some more experience on a motogp, but certainly a star for a few years time.
Colin should give up this year, go into retirement. Going to WSB now wouldn't help him as the competitions so tough now.

I reckon it's a clever move for vale and if he does anything in the first season he's cementing his place in history even further (not that he needs much help with that). It's going to be difficult though as the bike is going to be so different, if anyone can do it though...
