i like using my handbrake! works well...and im in complete control (as my hand talks perfectly to my brain and doesnt need 'Proxy Aligning').
All this sort of technology in cars is why so many people cant f'kin drive anymore!

Serious question matt.
How goods your punto? Whats it like on fuel? mpg, size of tank etc?
Its also on the ponder list, but need some real life opinions on them.

I like mine, ride is a bit hard but it is lowered, gets 40mpg easy round town gets upto about 50 - 53 on the motorway, I know thats not as good as some of the more modern diesels because it is quite an old engine, uber reliable though, its the 8v version of the 150 thats used in vauxhalls
has a 45 litre tank

I might have to get in on this trend and make a speedo video. I worry about putting actual speed up on youtube though after hearing about all these stories of people being prosecuted for it

I'll give my opinion of the 1.4 16v.
Sporting is really quite a bumpy ride imho. 1.4 16v goes well and will cruise at 80mph all day. Acceleration is pretty quick when you want it to be, otherwise it's a slow car as it lacks torque. Build quality is pretty good. I've put near on £8k on mine and it hasn't put a foot wrong.
I wouldn't have another though.

I rate the 1.4 petrol Tjet (turbo) tbh, 38mpg all day, only a 5 speed box but its more than adequate with cruise control
Turbo is fine standard, if you fit the larger one like i did then you just get bags more torque, pulls strong like a train
Although id spend the extra on the Abarth Essesse

40mpg in a 1.4 petrol is fine?
Drive the thing and stop worrying about the petrol consumption.
