iv jus converted my corsa to a 1.6 16v got the engine in all wired up correctly but iv got the engine management light flashing constantly and the engine only starts for a few second until the light starts flashing then it just dies has any 1 got any sugestions to what this is?

ECU immobiliser is the problem.
Have you got the pickup & transponder chip from the car the engine came out of?

Did your car have an immobiliser on it when it was a 1.2 8v? The plug should be behind the cowling cover around the ignition barrel. If I remember right its a flag rectangular shaped plug. Also have you got the key chip for new engine?

nope no immobiliser its a 1994 corsa b so it was before they had immobilisers, yes i have the key from the doner car aswel

you will need the dash loom and the transponder for the key for it to run i think

is ther ne way of bypassing it cos that just sounds like a big pain in the arse
