i'm using xpat the moment.
i can do it this way...
When i right click on the pic (any one) and go to prefrences, there is a button that says "change..." that allows you to change the program associated with that type of file extension. Dont know if its on 2k though.
The way i used to do this on win98 was:
Single left click on the file you want to open.
Hold down either right "shift" "control" or "alt" on the keyboadr (cant remember which).
Right click on the file and underneath the "open" option on the menu there is a new one called "open with".
Think you might be able to do it this way.
hope this helps,
alan.

just remembered another way. I will try and describe it for xp and maybe you can do it in a similar way with 2k.
Go into the folder containing the file. Click on "tools" click "folder options". Click on the "file types" tab. Listed are all the different types of file extension. Click on the type in question (i.e. "jpeg"). Click on the "change" button. change it to the prog you want it to open with.
this works for me and changes all the file extensions with the same type to do the same, but as a said i dont know if you have that option on 2K.
