This was another one done recently, one of 2 cars the owner has put on quarterly maintenance contracts with us. We had already carried out a 1 day All Surface Protection Detail on this one approx 3 months previous but this time it was in for a 2 day enhancement detail.

The car on arrival:

Wheels first, sprayed with Gloss-It Signature Wheel & Tyre gel (4:1) and agitated with Raceglaze and EZ brushes:

Then rinsed:

A few minor tar spots were removed with Autosmart Tardis and then Iron Cut was applied to remove any iron contamination:

It also comes in handy for cleaning up suspension components at times too:

The arches and tyres were cleaned with Meguiars Super Degreaser (4:1) and I then moved onto the engine bay. Having been previously detailed 3 months previous, it wasn't too bad - just a bit dusty:

I had loads of pics back when it was detailed for the first time when the engine was considerably dirtier but I think I must have cleared them off my camera before moving them to my laptop as I can’t seem to find them! :wall:

This time round all that was needed was a good soaking with Meguiars APC (4:1) and then rinsed off at medium pressure @60 degrees:

The shuts and exterior trim were then cleaned in the same fashion before the car was foamed with Meguiars Hyper Wash @ 60 degrees:

And after rinsing you can see the Zymol Vintage applied previously was still going strong:

The car was then washed with the 2 bucket method and Meguiars Shampoo Plus before being rinsed and then sprayed with Tardis to remove any small tar spots.

We only just missed the release of Iron Cut when the car was last detailed so this time round was a good chance to see if there was much contamination present on the paint:

Not a huge amount but it certainly warranted the application.

This was repeated a couple of times before being rinsed off and I then clayed the car with Meguiars Mild Detailing Clay and dried off with PB Luxury Drying towels and the Black Baron.

When it came to paint defects it was a nice change to find that there wasn't anything overly bad and in most cases it was just a bit of light wash marring and the odd scuff or two.

This is about as much as the camera would pick up:

As this was about enhancing the finish and not achieving 100% correction I chose a blue Gloss-It finishing pad & Menzerna 85RE with the Makita to see what kind of result I would get:

Before:

After:

Happy with the outcome of this I carried on round the rest of the car with the same combination. It was really enjoyable just being able to sharpen up the paint and not have to spend hours and hours doing heavy compounding

Smaller pads were used for narrower areas:

Wing end plates corrected with the finishing pad and 85RE:

Before:

After:

Once finished polishing I removed any light dust with the lambs wool duster and gave the car a full IPA wipe down:

LSP for this one was Zymol Vintage again at the owners request with Migliore QD for the final wipe down.

The interior was thoroughly hoovered and any plastics wiped down with APC. The Alcantara was hoovered with a soft brush attachment (Seats protected with 303 Fabric Guard) and the glass was cleaned with 3M Glass Cleaner. Door shuts were polished and protected with Werkstat Prime Strong:

The engine bay was dressed with 303 Aerospace Protectant - bit of a frustrating engine to do as you could spend a good day or two polishing everything up!

Front end done with 303 too:

Wheels were sealed with Blackfire Metal Sealant and tyres dressed with Gloss-It Signature Tyre Gloss:

And here are the afters of the exterior

Thanks for looking
