Apart from on Thursday when they sent out a dodgy update and crashed tens of thousands of systems and servers
Normally good apart from that though.

I use AVG, havent had any issues yet. I also use FreeAV (http://www.free-av.com/) on my desktop as it is slow as fuck but that doesnt seem to slow it down

Just because it's popular it doesn't mean it's good, norton used to be popular and that's probably one of the worst AV's

wel as a rule if the general majority of people are using the same one and not occuring problems id go on the basis its decent nowhere did i state it was good, iv never tried it, hense the need to ask the question to see what other people use

Norton has only ever been popular as its bundled on new pc's and the average user just leaves it there. Don't know anyone who has actually bought it

NOD32 is good, doesn't eat millions of resources and last week was the first time I've seen a problem with it, it just involved a couple of restarts, which isn't much of a problem with a home pc.
