I think Toast will work on Mac.

Can't most DVD players play data discs these days? If yours can, then just put it on as it is and then it will play.

It's for my gfs Mum and don't really know what player thay have. Giving this DVD Flick a go now.
Not sure if Nero does it.

Most dvd players will play data discs. My samsung from '04 plays them
