this aint a vaux question but however this is a good site and people help on here

i went through a puddle before and now the car aint running right and the eml light is on constant and sounds like its missing at low revs

the car is a mk 3 mondeo zetec s 2.5 v6

please help

Any water in the spark plug holes? Just leave it idling for a while to dry out

tried that just had all the leads out and all dry had it running now for around an hour and still missing

Has any water gone down the inlet? Check all the air pipes for water

Hmmm. Only other thing could be water in a connector somewhere along the ignition line. Coil pack dry?

same thing happened to my focus. it put itself into safe mode, wouldn't let me go over 3k rpm or into 6th gear.

only happened twice when it rained heavily and sorted itself out within a couple of days.

water in the barrels perhaps? lul.

I always used to drive my corsa B through massive puddles and never had any issues

have you checked the air filter? is it a standard filter you have on? have you tried unplugging battery for an hour so and reconnecting?

Well I've checked all plug leads and airbox and panel filter

I reset the ecu and the light went off but it's still missing

I took it out for a little drive and eml came back on

So fuck it it's goin to garage tomorrow

Typical feckin ford

but ben the eml light is back on and if i accelerate it flashes which if what ive read

Alright buddy.. My guess is you have choked abit of warter up and killed a plug.. Change the plugs mate.

well.. if the plug spat its dummy and the car is missing.. that will put the eml light on matey.

And water in the chamber will kill a plug.

i think the back plugs is just a case of removing inlet manifold, fiddly but not massive job
