Anyone know how to go about getting an engineers report for my corsa as i need one so that I can log it as a 2 litre?

as far as im aware its to do with safety i think they are carried out but vosa mot head stations to see if the car/modifacations are safe enough for the road so they carry out an engineers report that u will have to send along with your log book to dvla before they will re register it

When I called dvla about the report for my xe they told me it was nothing to do with safety and quality of work carried. It is purely to confirm the capacity of the engine so it can be taxed accordingly. I just got my local garage to write me a letter on headed paper confirming the reg, engine cc and engine number.

I had mine done at my local vauxhall dealer for when mine was change to an x16xe.

Only cost £30.

Basically its a mini M.O.T

Was that for dvla or insurance company? Think you'll find that was ott for dvla. Like imsaid mine was just on letterhead to say engine change was done.

Dvla go off CC anyway and as the xe and let are the same it makes no difference.
