I'm a Naval Architect, so I my main job is to design them, hydrodynamics, structures, aesthetics all rolled into one job role but I also conduct all trials and testing.
With being a small(ish) company though, I get sent out to do quite a few of the on site jobs so I get my hands dirty quite a lot - refitted a 315hp Inboard Diesel engine, whilst afloat with mickey mouse tools, a jetty crane and in the snow at 11pm at night was a particular highlight!

Better then been stuck in the off ice all the time.
Sounds quite a fun job.
Seems quite unique. How did you get into that engineering degree?

Got cabin fever at the moment, been in the office for a 6-8 weeks - I need to get out - should be out the first week of October trialling a 320hp Jet RIB - I always seem to trial in Autumn & Winter and not so much in Spring & Summer
