was out with a little blip[ with my mate last night. he has a 02 plate 1.8 sri veccy. he struggled to overtake me (i have 1.4 sport) he said his car has about 130 bhp? mines around 90. he only got past me when i was topping out in 4th and with slipstream he did take a good 5 seconds to 'crawl' past.
he was pretty pissed off being that mine is a 1.4 but is it just because they weigh so much?

Those 1.4 16v are quite nippy tbh, my 2.0dti Astra lost in an accelerating competition on the way to work the other morning against what was badged up as a 1.4 I was most surprised / displeased

I've got one (1.8 sri), it's not fast, not quick, barely nippy and as above it's awful on fuel. I'm used to crap MPG now though so i'm thinking about a V6 something or other when I change cars (hopefully an X type).
