Former Celtic midfielder, was at Bristol last season I think. Had a heart attack 20 minutes ago playing for Ajax  He's been succesfully revived by the sounds of things but how shocking is it the amount of footballers having heart attacks?

Crazy. Does seem to happen a lot doesn't it? Needs to be looked into more about the causes.

a simple ultrasound scan of the heart can show up the sort of defects that can cause a young lad to suffer a heart attack. you'd think that would be a standard test when assessing a players fitness.

sudden death syndrome wasnt it for that cameroon guy etc... ?
The stress they put their bodies through, constant training etc... Puts a lot more strain on their bodies than us normal people do, hence the heart attacks. Would make sense to do a fairly simple test to possible aforewarn to this kinda stuff

Glad he's on the road to recovery but Celtic to Bristol City to Ajax, WTF

Van Basten bought him for Ajax for some reason then loaned him to City.
He has dreadlocks like Davids, he must be good
